My name is Ann, I live in Birmingham, England, am married, retired, mother of three sons, including twins, and grandmother to Lydia Alice.

I rescue English Setters, currently having three, plus a Field Setter and a German Shepherd, but my passion is designing animal graphics.

I joined Geocities, after designing my own successful domain site for 18 months, because I thought the knowledge I had acquired in that time, would be useful to anyone joining the World of the Website for the first time. I opened a small site in Heartland/Village in July 1998, about all my dogs, and spent time learning the ways of geocities inside and out. But when Petsburgh opened, I moved to this new neighborhood immediately, as I was sure here I would find lots of homesteaders as mad about animals as myself. I was not wrong!!

From the start, I loved it here, and applied to become a Community Leader, taking just a week to graduate in late October 1998. After two months I was forced to leave, because here in England we are not allowed FREE telephone calls to the Internet. My telehone bill was ENORMOUS!! This broke my heart, as I was so happy here, made lots of new friends, and loved the duties a Community Leader carries out.

In the middle of February 1998, SuSue, my co-liaison in Petsburgh, signed the guestbook at my domain site, saying she hoped I was well, and to keep in touch. That same day my son discovered an English Internet Provider, was offering forty per cent off all telephone calls, with fifty dollars worth of free calls for the first year. I jumped at this offer, contacted Rick, Sandi and SuSue, and of course, I am now back as Community Leader in the best Neighborhood in Geocities.
